REACTION TO LAST EVENT
THANKS TO FELLOW DINERS FOR THEIR COMMENTS ON LAST MONTH'S EVENT AT LA TASCA.
I e-MAILED LA TASCA WITH A LINK TO OUR SITE AND GOT A SWIFT RESPONSE FROM THEIR LOCAL MANAGER IAN ROBSON.
HE WELCOMED OUR POSITIVE CRITICISMS AND OFFERED TO SHOW HOW WELL LA TASCA COULD PRESENT A TRUE SPANISH TAPAS MEAL.

STEVE AND I WERE THEIR GUESTS TONIGHT FOR A MEAL THAT WAS VERY DIFFERENT FROM OUR GROUP EXPERIENCE. THE STAFF WERE AS ATTENTIVE AS BEFORE AND WE WERE WARMLY WELCOMED AND OFFERED OUR CHOICE FROM THEIR EXTENSIVE MENU.
THIS MEAL WAS MORE LIKE MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES OF THIS RESTAURANT - A FINE RIOJA WASHED DOWN TAPAS DISHES OF GOOD QUALITY - OF PARTICULAR NOTE WERE THE VERY FINE WHITE ANCHOVIES AND A REFRESHING MIXED SALAD WITH PARTICULARLY FINE CHOICE OF CHARCUTERIE. PUDDINGS OF PEAR TART AND SHERRY SOAKED ICE CREAMS ENDED A MEAL THAT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO MATCH.
THANKS TO THE LOCAL MANAGEMENT AND STAFF FOR AN EXCELLENT EVENING AND A NOTE TO THEIR HEAD OFFICE TO RE-THINK THEIR "PARTY MENU".
PREVIOUS SCORES OF A LOWLY 4 OUT OF TEN ROSE TO A HANDSOME 9.
